The Miss Shoreline program is a prerequisite to the Miss Michigan Scholarship Program. The winner of Miss Michigan then has a chance to vie for the title of Miss America.
Scholarship awards are the backbone of the Miss Shoreline Program as well as the Miss Michigan Program. The scholarship fund provides educational opportunities to many young women across the State of Michigan. Rich in history and social significance, the Miss Michigan Scholarship Pageant is a not-for-profit corporation that has maintained a tradition for many decades of empowering Michigan women to achieve their personal and professional goals, while providing a forum in which to express their opinions, talent and intelligence. The Miss Shoreline Scholarship Program follows under the same traditions and guidelines.
The Miss Shoreline Scholarship Program has taken the place of the Miss Muskegon/Ottawa Pageant and has been in existence since 2006. We also established a Teen Program that year. Our first Miss Shoreline was Miss Katie Lorenz, who has since went on to become Miss Illinois 2008. Miss Ebony Walls of Muskegon was Miss Shoreline’s first Outstanding Teen.
